Make public comment in support of the the Dodger Stadium Express bus service! On Thursday, June 26, 2025, Metro is exploring the possibility of partnering with the Dodgers to fund and improve the service. The reason this is happening now is because the grant that was funding the Dodgers Express has expired, so Metro is now paying for 100% of the cost of this service, which is provided for free for people going to Dodgers games.
More details on the proposal here: https://boardagendas.metro.net/board-report/2025-0546/

Sample script:
My name is [___], and I am a [resident/community member] in favor of the proposal for the Los Angeles Dodgers to contribute to the service costs of the Dodger Stadium Express, and implement operational improvements such as dedicated bus lanes.
When it comes to gameday transit solutions, busses are far more effective and environmentally friendly than what has been previously proposed. Namely, the invasive LA ART gondola from Union Station by billionaire Frank McCourt.
The community has spoken out many times before on how the gondola would take away public greenspace, put Chinatown homes at risk, and ruin Olvera St, all the while being completely ineffective at reducing traffic.
By keeping the Dodger Stadium Express Bus in service, and a financial responsibility of the Dodgers themselves, the city can both offer a proven transit solution, and do something right by the communities surrounding Dodger Stadium.
Other sample talking points:
• We need real, common sense transit solutions like the Dodger Stadium Express, not an overpriced gondola that still doesn't have an actual funding plan and would be a drain on public resources.
• The Dodger Stadium Express needs to be available for all major events at Dodger Stadium, including concerts.
• The Dodger Stadium Express service should be expanded to a Hollywood Bowl-style shuttle system that provides users a one-seat ride from park-and-ride locations throughout LA County.
Additional personal talking points:
• If you are a Dodgers fan, you can share that. (It's important for Metro to know that Dodgers fans support the Dodger Stadium Express and don't support the gondola.)
• If you use the Dodger Stadium Express, share that, share how well it works, and/or where it needs improvement, such as the lack of bus lanes after games, which causes the buses to get stuck in traffic.
• If you are a resident near Dodger Stadium who is impacted by Dodger Stadium traffic, you can share that.

Let them know that you are against this scheme to give away our communities to billionaire developers and mega-event promoters. And let them know that you're against the horrible LAART gondola project, which defies common sense and decency.
