You have multiple options to share your opposition to this project:
California State Parks is scheduled to vote on Wednesday, December 2nd on a deeply flawed General Plan Amendment (GPA) for Los Angeles State Historic Park (LASHP). The entire purpose of the general plan amendment is to add a transit land use area to the park to accommodate the Los Angeles Aerial Rapid Transit (LA ART) gondola project.
The final proposed GPA is now available at the CA State Park and Recreation Commission's meeting website. In addition, CA State Parks has released an LA ART EIR addendum.
The in-person location for the commission’s meeting has been changed! It is now the Residence Inn by Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE, 901 W Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90015. The meeting starts at 9am and will likely go into the afternoon. To provide public comment during the meeting via Zoom or phone, individuals will have to register via the commisson’s website. We expect that registration link to become available 3 to 4 weeks before the meeting.
Please SAVE THE DATE! If you are able to attend in-person or virtually, please sign our pledge card, and we will send reminders and updates as the meeting date nears. We also plan to host a workshop for preparing public comments.
In the meantime, if you don't want to wait, you can send written public comments now directly to the California State Park and Recreation Commissioners at SPR.Commission@parks.ca.gov. We also recommend cc'ing the email to us at stopthegondola@gmail.com.
Submit a public comment to Council File #24-0011-S4 for the Dodger Stadium traffic study on the City Clerk's website. Use the "NEW" button to open the public comment form. After submitting public comment, make sure to check your email to click a button to verify your comment submission.
